Children aged 5–12 with a francophone background — they may not speak confidently yet, but they understand French.

Les enfants de 5 à 12 ans ayant au moins un parent francophone. Ils ne parlent pas forcément avec aisance, mais comprennent le français.

The 3 Pillars of our immersion method

  • Children participating in a theatre activity in a spacious room with wooden floors and stage, illuminated by natural light from large windows.

    The Circle / Le Cercle

Body & voice warm-ups, rhythm games, projection, tongue-twisters.

Échauffements du corps et de la voix, jeux rythmiques, projection, virelangues.

  • A young boy with brown hair, wearing a white T-shirt and blue shorts, is jumping in a room with a group of children in the background. The children are barefoot and appear to be playing or dancing.

    The Walking / Les marches

Movement, shapes, rhythm, imagination, and expression through the body.

Mouvement, formes, rythme, imagination et expression par le corps.

  • Children performing a theatrical play on stage with black curtains.

    Story & Creation

Storytelling, improvisation, small-group creations, crafts, and playful challenges inspired by French culture.

Contes, improvisations, créations en petits groupes, bricolages, costumes et défis inspirés par la culture française.

Meet the Director: Stella Sulak

I founded Perth French Theatre in 2015 with a simple but powerful idea: to share my passion for theatre and language. Over the past ten years, PFT has staged 16 productions, blending professionalism with the joyful spirit of amateur theatre.

I designed this French Holiday Program to bring the transformative power of imagination and professional theatre techniques directly to the children. Our simple aim is to help them feel confident, curious, and excited to speak French by giving them a secure space to express themselves entirely in French.

This program is about building confidence and curiosity, using my 25 years of experience in the arts to raise the bar for language immersion.
